Bay Area thrashers Frolic have partnered with Hectic Records / Bleeding Priest Records to release their second full-length studio album this summer.
Hectic Records / Bleeding Priest records specializes in putting out San Francisco Bay Area metal bands on vinyl, and Dave and Will are excited to welcome Frolic to the label as one of the best of a new generation of Bay Area thrash bands.

The intergenerational nature of the Bay Area’s thrash scene is pretty special, with shows for other bands on Hectic / Bleeding Priest such as Nefarious and Trencher drawing everyone from teenagers to old heads in their 60s in the same audience of headbangers.
Frolic is leading the new crop of Bay Area metal bands for the 2020s, blending death metal, trad metal and even progressive rock into their unique thrash sound.
Frolic first caught the label’s attention in 2023, when they started the year opening for Mordred and Blind Illusion at the DNA Lounge in January, and finished it opening one of the Death Angel / Forbidden Xmas shows at the Great American Music Hall (a performance Frolic released a live recording of last year). Anyone who has seen them live knows they deliver an energy and power that makes metalheads everywhere take notice.
Frolic's first single, entitled "Celestial Aventus" off the new album will premiere on March 25, 2026, and will be followed by the reveal of the album's title, album art, tracking listing and official release date.
