So Death Angel is making our way across Europe and have reached our second day off. The last three gigs (Milan, Rome, Switzerland) were club shows co-headlining with Municipal Waste, with each band alternating the slot of playing last.

Bewitcher (from Portland) opened the first two shows and were KILLER! Great band and bunch of dudes. The third show was opened by a local band called Comaniac who also were pretty rad with an early era Euro-thrash vibe. I actually got a copy of their latest vinyl.

The Rome show was actually not a club but an outdoor venue on a camping ground called the Eur Social Park. It was a neat little setup. However I had a nightmare gig with things going wrong all over my kit. Let’s face it, I’m pretty rough on my gear and shit breaks on the regular. That gig happened to be one of those nights where my kit says “ENOUGH”! The crowd was great though.

In Switzerland we played the Dynamo Club in Zurich. Right outside of the venue was this breathtakingly beautiful river that all the locals (and some of us) were jumping into throughout the day and night. Very cool setting.

Yesterday was a very productive and fun day off in Eindhoven. I went to five different record stores in town and got Hellhunter’s “Hellbanger” EP into three of them. And picked up some rather rare vinyl of my own.

We ended the day going to our regular Rock n’ Roll watering hole The Jack for some day off libations. All in all it was a great day. Perhaps there was some weed smoking going on throughout the day as well…perhaps.

Today we’re playing the Into The Grave Festival in Holland with W.A.S.P. heading. I’ll have a full report on that in a few days.
